The Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s DUEL TERMINAL is a fun and exciting way to experience the world of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME. Available at Official Tournament Stores in the United States, you can use the DUEL TERMINAL to play against other Duelists, or to play alongside and against some of your favorite characters from all 3 Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series.

In addition to a unique electronic gaming experience, the DUEL TERMINAL will reward you with a special card that can be scanned by the machine and added to your electronic Deck. These cards can also be added to your real-life Deck and used in your day-to-day Dueling.

For Duelists who don’t live near a DUEL TERMINAL (including Duelists in Canada, Europe, Latin America, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand), here’s some information on how you can get these cards. Also, please note this important information about tournament legality of DUEL TERMINAL CARDS.

DUEL TERMINAL SET STRUCTURE & AVAILABILITY

Every DUEL TERMINAL (DT) Set contains 100 cards:

60 New Cards

40 Reprints

For DUEL TERMINAL Set 1 (DT01), 30 of the 60 New Cards are available in Hidden Arsenal packs. Hidden Arsenal does not contain any of the 40 reprint cards – it just has the new cards.

This means that 30 of the New Cards from DT01 are not yet available for release. You can look forward to seeing these cards in other products that you can get. For example:

X-Saber Wayne will be available in the 2010 Starter Deck.

Reese the Ice Mistress, among other cards, will be available in this year’s edition of Gold Series.

Ally of Justice Light Gazer, and some other DUEL TERMINAL 1 cards, will be included in The Shining Darkness.

As you can see, not all of these cards will be in the same place. But they should all be available by the end of this year.

For future DUEL TERMINAL sets, collecting the cards will be easier to understand, since a Hidden Arsenal booster set will come out a couple of months after the DUEL TERMINAL cards. Each Hidden Arsenal will be a 60-card, all-foil set, containing only the New Cards from the latest DUEL TERMINAL release. (For example, Hidden Arsenal 2 will contain all 60 New Cards from DUEL TERMINAL 2.)

WHAT ABOUT THE 40 REPRINT CARDS?

A lot of the excitement with a DUEL TERMINAL card set is from the New Cards. But each set also includes 40 reprints. Sometimes, these can be cards that used to be hard to find. In order to make it fair for everyone to get these cards, we will often make these cards available through other methods, around the same time the DUEL TERMINAL set is released.

For example, some of the reprint cards that will be commons in DUEL TERMINAL sets this year, like Destiny Hero – Malicious, will also be included as common cards in this year’s Gold Series edition.

DUEL TERMINAL CARD LEGALITY

New DUEL TERMINAL cards are not tournament legal until they are available through some other method, such as inclusion in a Hidden Arsenal set or some other form of Booster Pack or Deck.

Examples:

X-Saber Wayne is tournament legal when it is released in the new Starter Deck.

The cards from DUEL TERMINAL 1 that are being included in The Shining Darkness will be legal when The Shining Darkness is released.

All cards from the first Hidden Arsenal were tournament legal when Hidden Arsenal released in November 2009.

All cards from DUEL TERMINAL 2 will be legal when Hidden Arsenal 2 releases in July 2010.

Once a DUEL TERMINAL set is tournament legal, you can either use the original DUEL TERMINAL version, or the reprint from the Booster Pack or Deck.

We hope this helps you to understand DUEL TERMINAL cards a little bit better. If you have any questions, please contact us!
