Unibird is best used with high-Level monsters that have low ATK or an effect that isn’t immediately useful. An Emissary of Darkness Token, for example, Special Summoned by the effect of Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, is a Level 7 monster that has no effect. If you Summoned Gorz when the opponent attacked with a weak monster, it has low stats too. Normally, you’d need a Level 1 Tuner to turn it into a Synchro Monster. But by removing it withUnibird, you can Special Summon a Synchro Monster of any Level from your Graveyard!Unibird also works well with Tragoedia, a Level 10 monster that has low ATK while you don’t have lots of cards in your hand.

Unibird is particularly useful for reusing Synchro Monsters that are Limited, like Goyo Guardianand Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. After your opponent destroys one of them, he may think you no longer have access to that monster. But Unibird will be ready to swoop into the Graveyard and prove your opponent wrong! Special Summoning strong Synchro Monsters when your opponent least expects it can be devastating.

Unibird also combos well with a bunch of other cards. Since it’s a Winged Beast, you can Tribute it with Icarus Attack to destroy 2 of your opponent’s cards. Then, since it’s a WIND monster, you can remove it from the Graveyard as one of the monsters needed to SummonDark Simorgh from your hand.

Using the effect of Unibird or Summoning Dark Simorgh removes 2 of your monsters from the game at a time. You can use Return from the Different Dimension to bring all of your removed monsters back onto the field and wipe out your opponent in a single turn.

Unibird can be a handy monster for recycling some of your strongest Synchros. Use it to set up some cool plays that will let you soar above your opponent in Duels.
