Last week, we introduced you to a few of the basic combos that the Tech Genus Deck (Or “T.G” for short!) can use. We also told you there’s a Level 10 Synchro Monster, T.G. Blade Blaster, that can win Duels all on its own. Read on to find out exactly how easy it is for you to Summon Blade Blaster and dominate duels with its impressive ATK and incredible effects.
1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters When an opponent's Spell/Trap Card is activated that targets this card, you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the effect. Once per opponent's turn, you can remove from play 1 "T.G." monster from your Graveyard to remove this face-up card on the field from play. During the next Standby Phase, Special Summon this card, if removed by this effect.
One of the best things about Blade Blaster is that its easy to Synchro Summon. Use any two of the three combos we talked about last week, and the monsters you Summon with them can be used to Summon Blade Blaster. Synchro Summon T.G. Wonder Magician and any other Level 5 Synchro Monster and you can trade them both in for a Blade Blaster.
Nearly all the T.G. Monsters let you search for other T.G. monsters if they’re destroyed, these combos are very consistent, and performing two of them in one turn is pretty easy. Even so, if you’re a slow and steady type of Duelist, you can Synchro Summon Magical AndroidAlly of Justice Catastor, or even Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En on one turn, control the pace of the duel with them for a bit, and then unleash T.G. Wonder Magician on a later turn to Synchro Summon your Blade Blaster!
There are 3 big reasons that T.G. Blade Blaster is so hard to overcome.
1.) Its ATK is HUGE!

With 3300 ATK, there are very few monsters that can manage to bring this big guy down.
2.) Spells and Traps that target won’t work!
Whenever your opponent activates a Spell or Trap that targets your Blade Blaster, you can send any card from your hand to your Graveyard, to completely negate it. It’s almost like a bigger Gladiator Beast Heraklinos. And if you’ve ever stared one of those down, you know first hand how hard it is to get rid of!
3.) Anything your opponent does on his turn won’t work!
Any time during your opponent’s turn, you can remove from play one “T.G.” monster in your Graveyard, to remove your Blade Blaster from play. Then, during your Standby Phase, you get to Special Summon your Blade Blaster right back to your field. If your Blade Blaster is in mortal danger, all you have to do is remove one T.G. monster from your Graveyard from play (and you’re sure to have a bunch, considering all the Synchro Summoning you just did!) and your Blade Blaster will escape, completely unharmed and ready to attack your opponent on the very next turn.
With so many easy ways to Synchro Summon Blade Blaster, the Tech Genus Deck is definitely something you’ll want to keep an eye on in the coming weeks. With T.G. Hyper Librarian on the horizon, Blade Blaster, and the T.G. Deck in general, will just be getting even better.
