Well, Lockdowns are the great way to cause negativity to take over the Duel. Several cards like Jinzo, Spell Canceller, Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 and Royal Decree are famous due to their lock effects, but one monster should never be overlooked... Destiny Hero - Plasma is the answer. His effect negates all monster effects your opponent controls, resulting into an Aggro strategy, that controls advantage over the Duel. A great tight spot is that Plasma has the same Summoning condition as Beast King Barbaros and similar effects asThousand-Eyes Restrict. But, have you never heard about "Plasma Absolute Lockdown"?!! It works like that: You have Plasma, Sorcerer of Dark Magic and Secret Village of the Spellcasters active. Besides of Effect Monsters, you also negate all Spells and Traps your opponent controls. EvenSpiritualism cannot be used, since the Village does not negate it, this way, it should be almost unbreakable. Now that you used a monster which negates monster effects, you should overlap some additional effects to get the whole advantage.Angel 07 is able to negate effects which Plasma cannot stop, such as Honest and Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, or yet Puppet Plant (which would break the lock by taking control of Plasma, thus countering the strategy). With Archlord Kristya, you do not only negate the opponent's effects, as you also blocks their Special Summons! KABLAM!!! This results into an Anti-Meta strategy, that cripples the whole effectiveness of an opposing Deck!
