The Shining Darkness releases today, and with the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series heading to Chantilly this weekend, the main question on everyone’s minds is “What Decks should we be looking out for?” Infernity, Koa’ki Meiru, X-Sabers, and Blackwings all come immediately to mind, so here’s an all new Spell Card just for Blackwing Duelists.

Now that Black Whirlwind and Allure of Darkness are Limited cards, drawing  your best cards has become a bit more difficult for Blackwing Duelists as of late. That’s why you should play Cards for Black Feathers.  By simply removing one “Blackwing” monster in your hand from play, you get to draw two cards from your deck. This gives you more chances to draw the all-important Black Whirlwind earlier in the game, as well as remove any unnecessary Blackwings from your hand.

The most important use for Cards of Black Feathers is that it helps you dig through your Deck for Black Whirlwind and Icarus Attack. You can only activate 1 Cards for Black Featherseach turn, and you can’t Special Summon the turn you use it, so you need make the cards you draw count. Even with just a Normal Summon you can still search with Black Whirlwind or Set a monster like Blackwing – Vayu the Emblem of Honor with Icarus AttackDelta Crow – Anti Reverse is also rising in popularity thanks to the Infernity Deck. Here are some other cards you might want to draw as fast as you can!

One great card to use against any Deck that relies heavily on the Graveyard is D.D. Crow. Since it’s a Winged-Beast, it fits right in with your Blackwing monsters, and can be Tributed forIcarus Attack if you happen to be facing a Deck that doesn’t rely on the Graveyard. You can also play the new Crevice Into the Different Dimension. With Cards for Black Feathers, combined with Allure of Darkness, you have a great chance of drawing that D.D. Crow orCrevice Into the Different Dimension before your opponent can set up his combos.
With Cards for Black Feathers, as well as the other great Blackwing cards released in The Shining Darkness, Blackwings should have no trouble standing up to the rest of the competition!
