Ally of Justice Light Gazer is a Level 8 Synchro Monster that can be Summoned with any Tuner and any non-Tuner, just like Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend. At 2400 ATK it might not be as strong as these monsters at first, but its effect can make it bigger than everything else when played against the right opponent. For every LIGHT monster in your opponent’s Graveyard, Ally of Justice Light Gazer gains 200 ATK, so if there are 3 LIGHT monsters in there, Light Gazer 3000 ATK and if there’s 10, Light Gazer goes up to whopping 4400 ATK!

Ally of Justice Light Gazer works better against some Decks than it does against others. Blackwing Decks for example tend to use no LIGHT monsters at all while, Flamvell Cat Decks use only 3 or 4 in total. Against Lightsworn however, Light Gazer can be a force to be reckoned with! It’s not uncommon to see over 15 LIGHT monsters in your opponent’s Graveyard when you’re playing against Lightsworn. If you Summon Ally of Justice Light Gazerin this situation, it will gain 3000 ATK to go up to a grand total of 5400 ATK! If you manage to clear the path for a direct attack, Light Gazer can end a Duel really quickly.

Another thing to know about Ally of Justice Light Gazer is that it’s a Machine-Type monster. Machines are a very popular again thanks to the “Machina” monsters from the Machina Mayhem Structure Deck. One of the most powerful cards a Machine Duelist can use is Limiter Removal, a Quick-Play Spell Card that doubles the ATK of all Machine-Type monsters you control. If Ally of Justice Light Gazer has already gained ATK from its own effect, Limiter Removal will double this along with its original ATK. That means that if you’re going up against a Deck like Lightsworn, Limiter Removal can give you a monster with over 10,000 ATK! That’s more than enough to end a Duel in a single attack!
