The release of Storm of Ragnarok will unleash a whole army of new Six Samurai cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME. Since these Legendary Six Samurais all share the “Six Samurai” name, they work together with the old Six Samurai monsters that were first released in Strike of Neos.
Even though today’s cards don’t share that “Six Samurai” name, they share the “Six Samurai” synergy that makes the Deck so strong. First, take a look at Shien’s Daredevil.

When this card is Normal Summoned, place 1 Bushido Counter on it (max. 1). This card gains 300 ATK while it has a Bushido Counter on it. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Bushido Counter from this card and select 1 face-up card on the field that you can place a Bushido Counter on, then place 1 Bushido Counter on it.
Right off the bat, Shien’s Daredevil has 1900 ATK. That’s stronger than any of the Six Samurai monsters that you can Normal Summon without Tribute. By reducing its Attack Points down to 1600, you can also move its Bushido Counter over to your Six Samurai United or Gateway of the Six. That’ll let you draw more cards, or store the Counter to use later on.
Even if you don’t draw these Continuous Spell Cards to move the Bushido Counters onto,Shien’s Daredevil still serves as a 1900 ATK powerhouse. That makes it adaptable to any hand you may draw with your Six Samurai Deck.
You can also remove the Bushido Counter from Shien’s Daredevil or a card it transfers its Counter to, in order to activate the new World Premiere Trap Card, Six Strike – Thunder Blast.
Six Strike – Thunder Blast

Remove 1 Bushido Counter from your side of the field to activate one of the following effects:
● Select 1 monster your opponent controls, and destroy it.
● Select 1 card your opponent controls, and return it to the hand.
Six Strike – Thunder Blast can stop just about anything your opponent throws at you. At the cost of a Bushido Counter, Thunder Blast lets you destroy a monster on the field, or return a card to your opponent’s hand. Even Stardust Dragon can’t stop the power of Six Strike – Thunder Blast. You can use Six Strike – Thunder Blast to bounce monsters capable of stopping destruction effects back to your opponent’s hand or Extra Deck, instead of destroying them.
Six Strike – Thunder Blast doesn’t only work against monsters, either. If your opponent has a troublesome card in his Spell and Trap Card Zone, you can return it to his hand using this nifty Trap Card. That’ll clear the way for your swarm of Samurais, without making you worry about cards like Torrential Tribute or Mirror Force.
Thanks to Shien’s Daredevil, Gateway of the Six, and Six Samurai United, there are more ways than ever before to get Bushido Counters on your side of the field, for you to use withSix Strike – Thunder Blast. Since Shien’s Daredevil is a Level 4 Warrior-Type monster, you can even search for it with Reinforcement of the Army to get a quick Bushido Counter while you have Six Strike – Thunder Blast lying in wait.
