Last week, we introduced you to an all-new “Scrap” Tuner from Starstrike BlastScrap MindReader.  Today, we’ll show you 2 awesome new “Scrap” monsters to play it with. One is a massive Level 9 Synchro Monster, while the other is a clever combo card.  First up, check out the new biggest hitter in the Scrap arsenal – Scrap Twin Dragon!

Once per turn, you can select 1 card you control and 2 cards your opponent controls. Destroy the one you control and return the two your opponent controls to the hand. When this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to the Graveyard, select 1 non-Synchro "Scrap" monster in your Graveyard, and Special Summon it.
With 3000 ATK and an effect that can clear your opponent’s field, Scrap Twin Dragon is the deadliest “Scrap” monster yet!  All you need to Synchro Summon it is a “Scrap” Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuners. While other Level 9 or higher Synchro Monsters like Mist Wurm need more than 1 non-Tuner, you can Summon Scrap Twin Dragon with as few as 2 Synchro Materials.  That makes it really easy to Summon with combos like these:

You can use Scrap Golem’s effect to Special Summon Scrap Beast, then go right into ScrapTwin Dragon.  Or, use Scrap Dragon’s effect to destroy 1 of your opponent’s cards, then Tune it to Scrap Mind Reader for Scrap Twin.  From there, you can destroy another 1 of your cards to send 2 of your opponent’s cards back to their hand.  That’s 1 of the best ways to use ScrapTwin Dragon: stack those effects up, and you can make plenty of powerful plays in a single turn.
And remember: some cards are better targets than others for Twin Dragon’s effect.  If you send smaller monsters or a Spell or Trap Card back to your opponent’s hand, there’s a chance he can use them again next turn.  But if you target Synchro Monsters, they go back to your opponent’s Extra Deck instead.  You can trap high-level monsters in your opponent’s hand, too, if he doesn’t have monsters to Tribute for them.
When a "Scrap" monster you control, except "Scrap Searcher", is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard while this card is in the Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all face-up monsters you control, except "Scrap" monsters.

Scrap Searcher is a Level 1 non-Tuner that helps you beef up your defense and make bigger Synchro Summons.  You can’t Special Summon it when 1 of your Scraps is destroyed in battle (you can’t activate its effect in the Damage Step), but any time you lose a “Scrap” monster to an effect, you can Special Summon Scrap Searcher in its place.  If your opponent hits you withMirror ForceTorrential TributeBlack Rose Dragon, or anything similar, you’ll get to Summon Scrap Searcher from your Graveyard.
You can also destroy 1 of your own “Scrap” monsters to Summon Scrap Searcher, too.  TryScrapstorm: if you use it to send Scrap Searcher to the Graveyard, you’ll get to draw a card, then destroy a “Scrap” monster you control.  Since the last part of Scrapstorm’s effect destroyed your “Scrap” monster, that lets you Special Summon Scrap Searcher.
The same trick works with Scrap Dragon, putting a new spin on a well-known combo.  Use the Dragon’s ability to destroy 1 of your opponent’s cards plus your own Scrap Goblin or ScrapBeast, and the Goblin or Beast’s effect will return a “Scrap” monster from your Graveyard to your hand – most Duelists pick Scrap Chimera.  Now, you can use that same combo and throwScrap Searcher into the mix, getting back Chimera and Special Summoning the Searcher.
This combo gives you another monster to destroy with Scrap Dragon next turn, or you can destroy  Scrap Searcher to Special Summon Scrap Mind Reader during Main Phase 2.  Tune Mind Reader to your used Scrap Dragon, and you can trade it in for Scrap Twin Dragon.
That’s not the only way to combo Scrap Searcher and Scrap Mind Reader!  Since Mind Reader is a Level 1 Tuner, and Searcher is a Level 1 non-Tuner, you can Tune them together…
… To Synchro Summon Formula Synchron!

Formula Synchron lets you draw a free card, and its effect lets you unleash even more Synchro mayhem – on your opponent’s turn.  Want to cause even more mayhem?  When you Special Summon Scrap Searcher to your side of the field, its effect destroys any non-“Scrap” monsters you control.  But if you Special Summon Searcher to your opponent’s field with ScrapGolem’s effect, the tables are turned: Scrap Searcher will destroy your opponent’s face-up monsters instead.  Cool stuff!
The Scrap Deck was always about combos, but with all of these new cards debuting inStarstrike Blast, it becomes 1 of the best combo-centric Decks of all time.  Look for Scrap MindReaderScrap Searcher, and Scrap Twin Dragon when Starstrike Blast hits the streets starting November 16th!
