The New Rivals is the one-hundredth and eighteenth episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

Yliaster's Three Emperors, using their powers to falsify history have entered the WRGP as the Duelists Team New World. Because this was not according to their expectations, Yusei and co. have to train even harder and realise they must win, no matter what it costs.

On a whim, Leo gets to know the team called Team Taiyo. Apparently they had come from the countryside of Japan to fight in the WRGP, this pooling what little money they had.
